Just finished reading Life Without Lawyers: Great work Philip! I’d like to contribute thought to the legalese structure of the USCIS. There needs to be subjective elements allowed, via educated USCIS agents, on granting certain individuals Visas, EAD’s or Green Cards. The current systems in place with USCIS are inefficient, rigid in the wrong areas and too forgiving in other aspects. Agents need to be able to “make the call” if they deem the individual worthy, i.e. educated, English speaking, tax payer, non-criminal history etc ...
